Antique Sofa

So I have had my eye on this sofa for a while now.  A good friend of mine used it in her basement, it had beautiful lines, and so much character!   I was secretly plotting to at least reupholster if not steel it from her. But a little while ago I got a message on Face Book from her asking me if I would like to have it!!!!

  PPTSHH! YES~

It has been sitting in storage for almost a year now, and I finally have some time to refurbish it.  I am going to have all the fabric black, and the wood trim grey.  All my pillows will be bright and inviting! 

Do you see the potential? 

There are 8 feet all beautifully carved along with the beautiful wood trim. 

My first thought was to reupholster it in a yellow fabric with white trim, but  I had to real myself in and realize that I have two lovely children and more to come...so if I want to enjoy the sofa it would have to be black.
